Technically a Genin level ninja, Kabuto is in Leaf Village as a spy acting for Orochimaru. Having intentionally failed and made himself seem an unimpressive ninja, he is actually on the Jounin skill level. Capable, even, of matching Kakashi in battle. As a young boy he was brought back from a battle, an enemy child, he was found and raised by a Jounin member of the Leaf Medical Unit Squad. Since then he has been hiding in his fake self. Described as Orochimaru's right hand man, Kabuto's role was to keep an eye on talented ninjas that Orochimaru could recruit, specifically Sasuke. In order for the next stage of Orochimaru's plans to take place.

A Genin level ninja, she is described as a very talented female shinobi by her Sensei. Ino has the ability to take over peoples bodies using a Jutsu called ShinTenShin. Entering her spirit into her target's mind, Ino can take full control of their body for a few minutes. Originally a spying Jutsu, it has many drawbacks when used in battle. Firstly the projected spiritual energy flies at the target at a very slow speed, making it easy to dodge. Secondly, if the target is missed, it takes a few minutes for the spirit to return to its own vessel. Leaving the Jutsu castors unconscious body open to attacks. Last, but in no way least, if the Jutsu does work and the caster's spirit does enter their target. All damage, including death, that occurs to the target while the caster has control will have the same result to the body of the caster.

Ino's father. Like his daughter, he has a powerful mind controlling technique which allows him to manipulate people minds without having to switch bodies with them. It seems his teammates were Shikato and Chomaru, Shikamaru and Choji's fathers, who also know the InoShikaCho formation.

Brother of Gaara's mother. Although of different sexs, the two are nearly identical. He tries to kill Gaara because he was ordered too, Gaara's sand protects him and knocks Yashamaru bloodied to the ground, dying. Yashamaru tells Gaara how much he hates him because he was the cause of his sister's death. He also tells Gaara that his mother hated the Sand village because they used her as a tool; a sacrifice to grow a weapon. Before he dies, Yashamaru has one last attempt at killing his sister's son: he reveals a chest full of expolsive notes and tells Gaara to die. However, the Sand Shield naturally saves Gaara from death.

A Jounin level ninja, she is the leader of Team 8, including Inuzuka Kiba, Aburame Shino, and Hyuga Hinata. Not much is known about Kurenai as of yet in the series, only that she has just recently become a Jounin.
